At the heart of her work lies an ongoing inquiry into key aspects of conceptions of social justice that underlie the basic structure of society. She is associate editor for the journal Social Justice Research and served as President of  the International Society for Justice Research (ISJR) (2010-2012). Currently  (2014-2018) she is President of the Social Psychology Research Committee  (RC42) at the International Sociological Association. Sabbagh's Erdős number is 4. Manfred Schmitt teaches Personality and Psychological Assessment at the University of Koblenz-Landau.
