Rebecca Walters is a tutor fo the BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies at Teesside University. She also teaches on Teesside′s Early Years (Sector Endorsed) foundation degree, hosted in Durham and Thirsk, and delivers the Early Years Professional Status. About the Author Rose Envy is Senior Lecturer in Education at Teesside University. Rose spent the early part of her career in nursing, later moving to a career in early years education. Rose has worked for local authorities at a strategic level developing the early years workforce. She has also worked in partnership with universities in the region to develop new qualifications for the children′s workforce at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Her specialist area is leadership and management, with interests in childhood proverty and the effect this has upon families both interms of improving outcomes for children and families, and inter-family relationships.
