He has been working at the Air Force Research Laboratory since 1995. His research interests are in the field of nonlinear optical materials, especially in the infrared. Dr. Leonel P. Gonzalez received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electro- Optics from the University of Dayton. He has worked in the commercial laser industry as well as in the telecommunications field. In 2002 he returned to the Air Force Research Laboratory and since then has been investigating nonlinear optical materials and their applications.
