Le XXe siècle italien a vu naître un homme qui, toute sa vie durant (1903-1994), fut à la fois une légende aux yeux de ceux qui n’eurent pas l’occasion de le rencontrer et un maître spirituel pour quiconque avait eu la chance de le fréquenter. Il s’appelait Gustavo Adolfo Rol. Issu de la haute bourgeoisie, toujours élégamment vêtu, il était doté d’une culture encyclopédique que renforçaient une âme d’artiste et un esprit mystique. Comme le prince Siddhartha, il avait atteint l’illumination dans sa jeunesse, mais n’en parlait jamais ouvertement. Cet Éveil lui permit notamment de développer de nombreuses “possibilités” que l’on qualifie généralement de “paranormales” : clairvoyance, télépathie, précognition, bilocation, lévitation ou encore télékinésie, pour n’en citer que quelques-unes. La présente anthologie réunit toutes les anecdotes racontées pendant plus d’un demi-siècle par des dizaines de témoins, dont certains comptent parmi les plus grands de la culture italienne et internationale.
