The Routledge Handbook of Transregional Studies brings together the various fields within which transregional phenomena are scientifically observed and analysed. About the Author Matthias Middell is professor of cultural history at Leipzig University and its Centre for Area Studies. He has written extensively on the global implications of the French revolution, the history of East Central Europe since the eighteenth century, and on the transformations of the field of global history since the late nineteenth century. He is editor of Comparativ – A Journal of Global History and Comparative Studies.
