About the Author Colonel Randall Wakelam is a former air force officer and military educator who has commanded a helicopter squadron and taught senior military leaders and executives. His is currently a research associate at the Laurier Centre for Military Strategic and Disarmament Studies and is the author of The Science of Bombing: Operational Research in RAF Bomber Command>/i> (2009).Howard G. Coombs is an Assistant Professor of the Royal Military College of Canada currently with the Directorate of Learning Innovation at the Canadian Defence Academy. He is also a part-time reserve officer affiliated with the Princess of Walesâ Own Regiment, an infantry unit based in Kingston, and currently serving as the programme director for distance learning at the Canadian Forces College, Toronto, Ontario.
