Gardiner Professor of Business Ethics at the Schulich School of Business, York University and has been a Visiting Professor at Bocconi University, Copenhagen Business School, and Nottingham University. Over the past decade he has been at the forefront of efforts to integrate social, ethical and environmental issues into global management research and education. He has published numerous academic articles and is the author or editor of eight books, including Europe′s market leading textbook on business ethics, and the Oxford Handbook of Corporate Social Responsibility. He is on the board of five scholarly journals including Business Ethics Quarterly, Business and Society, and the Journal of Management Studies. Dirk Matten holds the Hewlett-Packard Chair in Corporate Social Responsibility and is Professor of Strategy at the Schulich School of Business, York University, Toronto. His doctoral degree and his Habilitation are from Heinrich-Heine-University D sseldorf, Germany, and previously he held a Chair in Business Ethics at the University of London (Royal Holloway). Dirk has taught and researched at academic institutions in Australia, Belgium, Britain, Canada, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy and the US.
