Originally from Poland, Professor Maciaszek has worked as a researcher, consultant and educator in various countries around the world, including the US, Germany, France, Italy, The Netherlands, Macao, Malaysia, Thailand, and Kuwait. He moved to Australia in 1985. He has extensive consulting and training experience, with many large international companies. His research has been in databases, object-oriented technology, software engineering and the development of large-scale business information systems. He has authored close to 100 publications including the book Database Design and Implementation (Prentice Hall, 1990).
