About the Author Aleksandr V. Gevorkyan is Assistant Professor of Economics at the Peter J. Tobin College of Business in St. John’s University. He is a professional economist with experience in macroeconomic analysis and financial markets. He has also taught financial economics and economic development at Columbia University and New York University, The New School and MBA concentrations at St. John’s University and Long Island University. Dr. Gevorkyan has published in academic journals and reference volumes on international financial economics, macroeconomic policy, sovereign debt, labor migration and post-socialist transformation. He holds Ph.D. in Economics from The New School in New York.
