About the Author Charles Amo-Yartey is the IMF Resident Representative in Liberia. He holds a PhD in economics from the University of Cambridge, which he attended as a Gates Scholar. He is the author of the book, Stock Market Development in Africa published by VDM Verlag and co-editor of the book, Caribbean Renewal: Tackling Fiscal and Debt Challenges. Dr Amo-Yartey has published in leading journals including Applied economics, Applied Financial Economics, and the Journal of International Trade and Economic Development.
