He is an active researcher and academician. He is engaged in consultancy services for govt organizations and smart city projects. Also, he is reviewer for many reputed journals in elsevier, IEEE etc. He has also trained and interviewed the engineering college students for placement training & counselling. He has conducted many ISTE workshops in association with IIT Bombay and IIT Kharagpur. He is also coordinator for IIRS (Indian Institute of Remote Sensing) eoutreach programme. He has delivered guest lectures in many seminars / conferences in reputed engineering colleges. G. Sakthinathan, is serving as Associate Professor, Department of Manufacturing Engineering, College of Engineering Guindy Campus, Chennai, India. He has carried out many real time projects and brought significant changes through different technological interventions. He has many publications to his credit. He has been recognized with many awards and appreciations by the government and private organizations for his technological contributions to various societal problems.
