E. degree in Electronics from the University of Visweshwariah Collegeof Engineering, Bangalore and Ph. D. degree in Electrical CommunicationEngineering, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. He has vast experienceof more than 30 years in teaching and research. His research interestsare: Software Agent based Network Management, Wireless Networks, MultimediaNetworking, Underwater Networks, Wireless Network Security, Gridand Cloud computing. He has published around 295 papers in internationaljournals and conferences, and 15 publications in books/book-chapters. He isFellow IETE India, Fellow IEEE India, Member ACM USA, and senior memberof IEEE USA. He received best research publication award from VGSTKarnataka in 2014. He has been awarded with Sathish Dhawan Young EngineersState Award for outstanding contribution in the eld of EngineeringSciences in 2015 by DST Karnataka India. He is a reviewer and programmecommittee member for many journals. Dr. Gopal K. Shyam is currently working as a Professor in School ofComputing and Information Technology, REVA University, Bengaluru, India.He received BE, M.Tech, and Ph.D from Visvesvaraya Technological University,Belagavi.
