About the Author Sandra Wilson is a historian of modern Japan and is Academic Chair of History at Murdoch University in Perth, Australia. Michael Sturma is an Emeritus Professor at Murdoch University in Perth, Australia. Arjun Subrahmanyan is a historian specializing in Thailand and Southeast Asia at Murdoch University in Perth, Australia. Dean Aszkielowicz is a lecturer in History and a fellow of the Asia Research Centre at Murdoch University in Perth, Australia. J. Charles Schencking is a professor at the University of Hong Kong and a Sir Walter Murdoch Distinguished Visiting Scholar at Murdoch University in Perth, Australia.
