About the Author R. Harindranath is Senior Lecturer in Media and Communications at the University of Melbourne, Australia. He has taught in universities in India, Malaysia, and the UK. He co-authored The 'Crash' Controversy, and is currently completing a manuscript entitled Southern Discomfort. He has written on diverse topics such as audience research, 'race' and representation, social movements, and cultural imperialism.
