Product Description Maths Investigator is a secret spy agency whose mission is to make maths fun and exciting. The series has been extensively trialled and developed to offer schools a fresh and exciting way to combine the content and structure of the 2006 Mathematics Framework with the principles of the Primary Strategy 'Excellence and Enjoyment' guidance - to raise standards whilst making learning fun. The Maths Investigator approach focuses on developing the key skills of problem solving, speaking and listening, and using and applying maths. It uses the engaging spy context to integrate maths into problem solving and give pupils a clear purpose for learning. The Interactive CD sits at the heart of the Maths Investigator resources, enabling teachers to embed ICT seamlessly into teaching and learning. Used alongside the Teacher's Guide units and Casebook, this unique resource offers a truly integrated learning experience perfect for display on interactive whiteboards. Animated messages from 'M' - the head of the Maths Investigator spy agency - excite and motivate children, whilst intuitive and powerful teaching tools (including the NNS ITPs and useful mind-mapping software) use familiar models and images to support teaching of mathematical concepts. Clear navigation provides one-touch links to all supporting resources needed to run the lessons and simple, editable planning screens enable teachers to add links to their own resources. Best results we've ever had in maths - 99% L4 and above and a staggering number of L5s - all down to the MI approach. Six of the children in my bottom set moved from 3c to 4c during the year.
