Her work is at the forefront of new measurement techniques, particularly in the realm of deriving quantitative information from lidar measurements. She has been teaching micrometeorology courses for 8 years at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Alexandria McCombs is an assistant professor of geography at Salisbury University, with a specialization in quantitative methods for synthesizing boundary layer observations from satellite, surface, and flux footprints at the micro- and meso- spatial and temporal scales. Her work has specialized in mesoscale and microscale observations at the surface and understanding the sensitivity of models to observation errors. She teaches courses at the undergraduate level in meteorology, instrumentation, and micrometeorology.
