His most recent research was on the impact of fibrinogen a-, b-chain genetic polymorphisms on endothelial function, inflammation and hemostasis in patients with coronary artery disease. Dr. Papageorgiou has provided reviews for international peer-reviewed journals including the International Journal of Cardiology, Journal of Molecular and Cellular Cardiology, Atherosclerosis, Heart, Hellenic Journal of Cardiology, Expert Opinion On Investigational Drugs, Recent Patents on Cardiovascular Drug Discovery, Current Medicinal Chemistry, Clinical Cardiology, and Current Topics in Medicinal Chemistry. He has been a Guest Editor in Current Topics in Medicinal Chemistry, sits on the Advisory Editorial board of Recent Patents on Cardiovascular Drug Discovery, and is a member of the International Editorial Board, IBIMA publishing.
