Description

Marquis de Sade's Chapter II represents a landmark release for New Wave of British Heavy Metal enthusiasts, finally delivering the first full album from this legendary London band founded in 1979. After decades of obscurity punctuated only by their rare 1981 single "Somewhere Up In The Mountains/Black Angel" and a limited tape release, this album emerged triumphantly at the Keep It True Festival in 2023, where audiences sang along to the long-lost track. The release captures the raw energy and guitar-driven sound that defined the NWOBHM movement, featuring the talents of bassist Pete Gordelier, who later joined Angel Witch, and keyboardist San Remo, who founded Sanctus in 1982. This vinyl pressing on Golden Core Records (ZYX) is an essential acquisition for collectors and fans of 1980s British heavy metal heritage.
