Description

Experience the debut album from Folk Bitch Trio, Now Would Be A Good Time, available on vinyl. This release breaks away from the overly sacred and solemn traditions of folk music. Instead, it uses a shared sense of humor to set the genre alight, avoiding the self-serious traps often found in the style. Comprised of former high school friends Heide Peverelle, Jeanie Pilkington, and Gracie Sinclair, the group delivers vivid and visceral stories. The music is funny and darkly ironic, reminiscent of the writing style found in works by Mary Gaitskill. This new album by Zach Top and Folk Bitch Trio offers a fresh, engaging perspective on folk rock through its unique storytelling and wit.
