Description

D. H. Lawrence's Women in Love represents what the author called 'the beginning of a new world', yet this masterwork endured extensive damage throughout its revision, transcription, and publication history. Previous editions contained thousands of accumulated textual errors that obscured Lawrence's original intentions. This Cambridge University Press edition, prepared by leading scholars from England and America, restores the text with meticulous accuracy, removing decades of corruptions to reveal the novel exactly as Lawrence wrote it. Readers now encounter an authoritative version that honours the author's creative vision, complete with the 'Foreword' Lawrence composed for the work. Essential for anyone seeking to understand this transformative novel in its truest form.
