Description
Experience a rare collection of Richard Wagner's early operatic works. This release brings together three significant pieces: Die Feen, Das Liebesverbot, and Rienzi. While these works often receive individual attention in modern concert halls or staged productions, finding them all in a single collection is uncommon. This recording captures a historic musical moment from the Bavarian State Opera in 1983. Under the direction of Wolfgang Sawallisch, these three operas were performed in the same season under the same conductor, a feat rarely repeated in opera history. This set allows listeners to trace the development of Wagner's style through his first opera and his subsequent breakthrough works. Whether you are a student of Wagnerian history or a dedicated classical music enthusiast, this Orfeo D'or release provides a unique opportunity to hear these foundational works together. It serves as a valuable addition to any classical opera collection, offering a deep look into the early creative period of one of history's most influential composers.
