Description
Experience the extraordinary jazz-soul sound of Shuggie Otis with Inspiration Information. As the son of band-leader Johnny Otis, Shuggie Otis is a multi-instrumentalist who worked with Al Kooper at age 16 and famously declined an offer to join the Rolling Stones. This 1974 album remains his finest work, offering a loose and spellbinding listening experience. Often celebrated for its combination of vulnerability and mellowness, this record achieved cult status and was reissued by David Byrne's Luaka Bop in 2001. While too unique for mainstream popularity, it stands as a masterful blend of soul and jazz that remains essential for collectors of psychedelic classics and R&B. This Virgin release brings a legendary piece of California soul history to your collection.
