CrowD Games Traianus Ancient Warfare Strategy Game - 8 Armies, Card-Based Combat

Traianus is a miniature wargame without physical miniatures that recreates tactical warfare across the Roman Empire and its rivals during the 1st and 2nd centuries CE. Using a card-based combat system, players command one of 8 historically accurate armies including Romans, Dacians, Celts and others, each featuring unique unit types ranging from armoured warriors and war machines to mounted cavalry and cheaper unarmoured troops. The game delivers authentic ancient strategy through realistic manoeuvres and formation mechanics that reflect genuine historical tactics. Rather than requiring expensive miniature collections, Traianus uses cards to represent military formations of varying sizes, from dozens to hundreds of soldiers, making it accessible whilst maintaining the depth of traditional wargaming. The 96-page campaign book provides extensive scenarios and strategic guidance for players seeking both narrative campaigns and tactical skirmishes. Ideal for strategy enthusiasts and history buffs, Traianus offers rich replay value through the nearly endless combinations of army compositions and tactical approaches.
