Description

Experience the most expansive work from Weatherday with Hornet Disaster (+Obi), released via Topshelf Records. As the follow-up to the 2019 debut Come In and a spiritual successor to the 2022 collaboration Weatherglow, this release marks a significant evolution in the band's sound. The album opens with a caustic title track that captures the signature Weatherday energy: urgent, noisy, erratic, and playful. Listeners will hear shifts in songwriting and production throughout the tracks. The lead single "Angel," paired with "Heartbeats," provides a snappy and springy emo anthem. Additionally, the track "Heartbeats" draws on the influence of The Knife with its slinky, down-tempo style. This release offers a deeper look into the musical growth of the project, blending high-energy noise with new melodic directions.
