This volume contains the complete proceedings from the 81st International Astronomical Union Symposium held in Tokyo, Japan during 23-26 May 1978. Edited by B. G. Marsden from the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, the symposium explored fundamental topics in solar system dynamics.
