Feathe, the new album from Seth Avett, showcases his ongoing autobiographical narrative, experience-based philosophy, and (occasionally radical) musical evolution. Written entirely by Avett and co-produced with Dana Nielsen (SZA, Adele, Weezer, Rihanna), Feathe blends organic instrumentation with experimental elements, fusing guitar, bass, drums, piano, and synths (all performed by Avett & Nielsen). All vocals are by Avett, with additional contributions from songwriter Jessica Lea Mayfield and Charissa Nielsen (Post Malone, The Smashing Pumpkins, Neil Young), giving the album an unmistakably singular focus.
