YoungGiftedandFat offers a groundbreaking critical autoethnography exploring the experience of performing thin both on stage and in everyday life. Sharrell D. Luckett's narrative weaves together her personal journey of weight fluctuation with her work as a performer, examining how bodies, identity, and desirability intersect. Through an innovative blend of creative text, interviews, testimony, journal entries, dialogues, and monologues, Luckett constructs a multidisciplinary examination of weight, self-esteem, performance, race, and gender.
