Description

Southern Postcolonialisms is an anthology of critical essays focused on new literary representations from the Global South. This collection seeks to reorient the ideological, disciplinary, aesthetic, and pedagogical directions of Postcolonial Studies. It addresses the shifting politico-economic realities and transactions between the North and the South, as well as movements within the Global South during the era of globalization. Since the rise of Postcolonial Theory in the 1980s, global boundaries and structures have changed significantly. This volume examines how these shifts impact literary study and theory. It provides a necessary look at how the world has transformed since the end of the Cold War, offering academic insights into the evolving relationships that define our modern global landscape.
