Routledge Counter-Terrorism and State Political Violence - Routledge Critical Terrorism Studies

This edited volume from Routledge critically examines state power through detailed case studies of political violence emerging from counter-terrorism strategies. The book investigates how state counter-terrorism approaches are fundamentally rooted in terror, manifested as state political violence. It addresses three central research questions: to what extent can counter-terror strategies be understood as a form of state terror, how essential is state terror to sustaining a neo-liberal social order, and what characteristics of counter-terrorism enable its reduction to state terror. This scholarly work offers invaluable insights for academics, policy analysts, and students studying terrorism, state power, political violence, and critical security studies.
