Burton Dassett Southend, Warwickshire was a thriving medieval market settlement that received its charter in 1267 under manorial lord Bartholomew de Sudeley. Known as Chipping Dassett, the village rose to near-urban status before declining throughout the 15th century and facing depopulation in 1497.
