The OWC ThunderBay 8 is a professional-grade external storage enclosure that supports up to eight 2.5" or 3.5" SATA drives, delivering expansive storage capacity with high-speed Thunderbolt 3 connectivity at 40Gb/s. Two Thunderbolt 3 ports enable daisy-chaining of up to six units for a combined 768TB of storage, whilst also accommodating five additional Thunderbolt devices on the second port. The enclosure features DisplayPort 1.2 support for connecting 4K displays, making it ideal for creative professionals who need both storage and display connectivity in a single solution. Backward compatible with Thunderbolt 2, it works seamlessly with Mac and Windows systems without requiring driver installation. The included Thunderbolt 3 cable and softRAID software provide immediate productivity, whilst the universal drive bay design offers flexibility to mix SSDs and HDDs according to your workflow requirements.
