Moving away from the layered collage style of their debut, Giddy Skelter, the duo shifted their focus toward live performance and raw musicality. By moving away from Ableton and studying the techniques of legendary musicians like Carole Kaye and Hal Blaine, they created a record that prioritizes performance over production. This album was built through months of live experimentation. The duo toured the US and UK, playing dozens of shows to workshop these songs in front of real audiences. With multi-instrumentalist Theo Katsaounis (formerly of Joan of Arc) contributing to the sound, the nightly sets from these tours served as the foundation for the final recordings. This bone vinyl edition allows you to hear the results of that dedicated live development and organic songwriting process.
