Designed for seamless integration, these alarms can be interlinked with up to 23 other Kidde mains alarms, including ionisation, optical, or heat models. When interlinked, a single unit detecting danger will trigger all connected alarms to sound, providing early warning across the entire property. Each unit operates on mains power and includes a 9V alkaline back-up battery as standard to maintain protection during power outages. These alarms are engineered for efficiency, featuring reduced energy consumption for lower lifetime running costs compared to previous Firex models. For easy maintenance, the combined Test/Hush button allows you to perform regular function tests and manage the alarm easily. Please note that this unit should be installed by a qualified electrician and is not suitable for kitchen use; for kitchens, a Firex Heat Alarm is recommended.
