Description
Experience a definitive moment in indie history with the Cbgb 12.13.88 vinyl release. Following their acclaimed debut album Today, Galaxie 500 delivered a quintessential performance at New York City's legendary CBGB. This live recording captures the band at their peak, blending signature intimacy with autumnal bombast. The performance was part of a benefit show for the See Hear zine shop, featuring an unusual bill that included Sonic Youth, B.A.L.L., and Unsane. This vinyl release provides a raw and inspired listening experience. The audio was captured via a board mix by Kramer and has been carefully restored and mastered from the analog source by Alan Douches at West West Side Music. This record serves as a live snapshot of a fully formed Galaxie 500 during a landmark year for the indie and alternative scene.
