k7-1 Songs For Nothing Vinyl - Olan Monk Album

Experience the unique soundscape of Songs For Nothing on vinyl by k7-1. Written by Olan Monk upon his return to the west coast of Ireland, this album draws deep inspiration from sean-nos singing and traditional Irish language songs. These old style tales of love, loss, and landscape are reconstructed through a modern lens, creating a sound that moves between collage pop, machinic rock, and slow airs. Heavily influenced by the confessional songwriting of the late Sinead O'Connor, the record offers a fragmentary and deeply personal listening experience. This release is dedicated to Conamara and all who have called it home, making it a meaningful addition to any collection of contemporary pop and experimental music. This new store stock brings a piece of Irish musical heritage and modern experimentation directly to your turntable.
