Everbuild Everflex Fire Mate is a white intumescent acrylic sealant designed to provide fire resistance for up to 4 hours by expanding to 150% of its original size when exposed to temperatures exceeding 125 degreesC to 150 degreesC. This fast-curing formula forms a protective skin in just 10 minutes, becomes tack-free in 15 minutes for overpainting, and achieves full cure in less than five days depending on thickness and environmental conditions. The 295ml cartridge requires no surface priming and works effectively on clean, dry, dust-free substrates, making installation straightforward for both professionals and DIY users. Beyond fire protection, this permanently flexible sealant incorporates fillers that provide acoustic benefits with noise reduction of approximately 24 dB, making it ideal for applications requiring combined fire and sound control. Its versatile formula suits multiple sealing requirements whilst maintaining long-term flexibility to accommodate substrate movement.
