Description

The Dormer Pramet MF Machine Tap is a high-performance tool designed for precision metric fine threading. Constructed from High Speed Steel (HSS), this tap provides excellent hot hardness during operation, ensuring durability when used in machine or handheld applications. The straight flute design makes it a versatile choice for threading both through holes and blind holes up to 1.5xD. To improve performance in sticky materials, the tap features a bright finish that helps prevent built-up-edge. It is engineered for general use across a wide range of materials, including steel under 1200 N/mm2, cast iron, copper, and brass. This tool is also effective for working with aluminium alloys, plastics, and fiber reinforced thermosetting plastics, making it a reliable addition to your toolkit.
