The Dormer Taper Shank Drill is engineered for reliability and performance in demanding drilling tasks. Constructed from High Speed Steel (HSS), this drill bit maintains excellent hot hardness during operation. It features a 118 degree conventional point designed for easy re-grinding, ensuring long-term utility in your toolkit. The steam oxide finish provides enhanced lubricity and reduces built-up-edge for smoother drilling. This tool is specifically designed for use with steel less than 850 N/mm2 and cast iron. With common taper shanks across numerous diameters, it helps reduce workholding requirements in your workshop. The 4xD design and point thinning on sizes above 14mm assist with precise centering and reduced thrust forces.
