De Gruyter Ezekiel's Vision Accounts as Interrelated Narratives - 475

This scholarly study examines the vision accounts in Ezekiel as a unified, interconnected text corpus, addressing a significant gap in Old Testament research. The book combines redaction-critical analysis with synchronic literary methods to trace the complex theological development across Ezekiel's four major vision sequences (1:1-3:15; 8-11; 37:1-14; 40-48). Using the paradigm of Fortschreibung, the author presents the first comprehensive redaction history that demonstrates how these strongly interrelated accounts contribute to the overall unity and theological coherence of Ezekiel. This work is essential for scholars and advanced students of Old Testament criticism and biblical interpretation seeking deeper understanding of how the vision accounts function as an integrated narrative whole.
