Cueva, ciudad y nido de aguila: Number 2 is an interpretive journey through the Mapa de Cuauhtinchan. This work represents the culmination of an international research project and a series of meetings organized by the Moses Mesoamerican Archive. The book focuses on the 16th-century pictorial manuscript known as the Mapa de Cuauhtinchan num. 2. This extraordinary document is painted on amate paper measuring 109 x 204 centimeters. It contains more than seven hundred images and symbols that tell the story of ancestral emergence in Chicomoztoc, their migration to the sacred city of Cholula, and the subsequent foundation and settlement of Cuauhti. This publication provides a deep look into the historical narratives captured within this significant Mesoamerican manuscript.
