The Criterion Collection Criterion Collection: 3 Films By Roberto Rossellini Blu-ray

Experience a landmark era of cinema with this Criterion Collection Blu-ray set featuring three essential films by Roberto Rossellini. This collection captures the historic collaboration between Rossellini and Hollywood star Ingrid Bergman. After being moved by the neorealist style of Rome Open City, Bergman reached out to the director, leading to a series of profound films set in postwar Italy. These films explore themes of sociopolitical concern and metaphysical melodrama. Through Bergman's performances, viewers witness characters facing physical dislocation and psychic torment. This US Import edition brings these cinematic masterpieces to your home collection, documenting a period that changed film history through both its artistic vision and the famous personal connection between the director and his lead actress. This set is a must-have for fans of international cinema and the works of the Criterion Collection.
