This second volume of The Collected Works of Samuel Taylor Coleridge, part of the Princeton Legacy Library, provides a deep look into his shorter essays and fragments. It includes substantial works such as his Theory of Life, Essays on the Principles of Genial Criticism, and Treatise on Method. You will also find his Confessions of an Inquiring Spirit, On the Passions, and his study on the Prometheus of Aeschylus. Beyond these major essays, the collection contains more than four hundred additional pieces. These range from school essays written in the early 1790s to his 1834 discussion regarding the bullion controversy.
