The surface deadbolt works with a simple keypad: after entering the correct code, turn the outside knob to retract the bolt, while the inside knob always moves freely for quick egress. An optional key override can be ordered, and multiple units can be keyed alike for convenience. Changing the access code is straightforward thanks to tumbler alignment, eliminating the need for special tools. The lock fits wooden doors between 35mm and 60mm thick and comes with neoprene seals that keep water out, extending the life of the hardware.
