Cambridge University Press Cambridge Handbook of Categorical Algebra: Volume 2

The Handbook of Categorical Algebra: Categories and Structures v. 2 serves as a specialized reference for those working in or using category theory. Published by Cambridge University Press as part of the Encyclopedia of Mathematics and its Applications series, this second volume builds upon the foundational material established in the first volume. This text introduces important classes of categories that have played a fundamental role in the development and application of the subject. After examining specific categories through several chapters, the book develops major concepts regarding Benabou's ideas of fibred categories. It is designed to provide a detailed account of the subject matter, making it a unique resource for mathematics professionals and students.
