Brill Genizat Germania - Hebrew and Aramaic Binding Fragments

Genizat Germania is a specialized academic volume from Brill that explores the discovery and analysis of Hebrew and Aramaic binding fragments. This work stems from a research project at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, which focuses on identifying fragments found within the books and files of various archives and libraries. Through systematic searches, researchers have uncovered several hundred new fragments, including rare Talmudic, Midrashic, and liturgical texts. These findings in Germany and across Europe provide new insights into Jewish literature during the Middle Ages and Early Modern periods. This volume serves as a collection of papers from international scholars, offering deep research into European Genizah texts and studies. It is an essential resource for those studying Jewish history and culture.
