Description

Experience the evolution of a legendary punk and new-wave group with My Life As A Child Star by Alternative TV. Originally formed in 1977, this group stood out by breaking away from the standard three-minute punk tracks. Instead, they explored new musical directions through improvised rants, audience participation, and the use of tapes during their early performances. Led by Mark Perry, the man who gained fame as the editor of the UK's first punk fanzine, Sniffin' Glue, Alternative TV serves as a direct outlet for his unique ideas and emotions. This music represents a journey that has continued on and off for over 25 years. For fans of experimental post-punk and historical UK music scenes, this release offers a deep look into a band that helped redefine what a punk group could achieve beyond the traditional thrash-and-speed limits.
