The Akai Professional MPX8 provides a versatile way to integrate custom sounds into your music production. Featuring eight backlit, velocity-sensitive pads, this controller is built for finger drumming, triggering melodies, basslines, and percussion with ease. The pads are also pressure-sensitive, transmitting pad pressure as polyphonic aftertouch via MIDI Out to add expression to your performance. This MIDI controller offers flexible sample playback capabilities. You can load 16-bit mono WAV samples onto a standard SD or SDHC card (up to 32 GB, FAT16/FAT32) and trigger them directly. With its onboard USB MIDI and standard MIDI Out, the MPX8 allows you to control music software on your laptop or manage outboard MIDI gear. Whether you are producing in a studio or performing live, the MPX8 serves as a reliable tool for sample management and MIDI control.
