VANGUARD Vanguard LB-50S Lightweight Low Profile Dual Axis Pro Ball Head

The LB-50S is an ultra-light and compact Arca compatible dual axis ball head with a 50mm base that is designed for a larger travel tripod or monopod. At just 75mm tall and weighing in at 280g, this is a super compact head that doesn't disappoint. With an oversized 35mm ball and friction control, this head has a maximum load capacity of 15kg to manage most kits, while the latest Computer Numerical Control (CNC) technology delivers a smooth, precise movement achieved through the mirror smooth finish that CNC production delivers. In addition to the traditional pan axis on the base, this low profile ball head incorporates a second axis under the quick release plate. This allows you to level your tripod in seconds on any terrain for perfect panoramas, without needing to fuss around with the legs. Simply make sure your tripod is steady, level the head and you're ready to go, using the top axis to re-frame or pan your photo. Alternatively, the dual axis ball head allows you make micro adjustments using the most appropriate axis, without needing to loosen the main ball joint and risk losing the overall setup. Easy grip locking knobs can be tightened and released with ease, even in cold and wet conditions. On a smaller head, sometimes the setup can mean that the locking knobs can get in the way of each other. To address this, the top axis locking knob and the main ball locking knob can also be pulled outwards and repositioned to more convenient and comfortable positions without affecting the solidity of the head. With a 50mm diameter base and the ability to fit any large tripod with a 3/8" thread (or any tripod with a 1/4" thread using the adaptor provided), this head is perfect for a travel tripod or smaller monopod from any brand. So whatever your tripod, if you're looking for a super compact and solid Arca compatible ball head that won't let you down, check out the LB-S Series.
