The Split 50 is a diopter filter that creates two focal planes within a single frame. One half of the filter lengthens and shortens the focal length, while the other remains unaffected. The result is a split focal plane that creates a unique image composition right inside the camera. Split 50 is designed for the photographer behind the lens. Designed to introduce a second focal plane into your image, creating additional depth and tension. Create compositions with added tension and emphasis on the subject. With the split focal plane, you can add an extra dimension to your basic lens setup to create tension for the viewer and highlight the subject.
