This is a manuscript on the history of geology as a science and its development over the course of human civilization. It is not your typical history book. It is not written like a paper. There are not a bunch of this led to this, followed by a bunch of dates. Nor are citations strewn throughout the text. I find that irritating in a book meant to flow s you read it. Instead they are at the end of a section or bibliography. The book contains a table of contents as well as an index. The first part is the history of geology in written format. The next section are bibliographies of important players, living and dead. It is not illegal or unethical to write about others without their permission. I tried to get it when I could, but there were several unresponsive people. So I kept it professional with them. There are over 60 short biographies. The book is fully illustrated in color. It is a mix of real photos, my own scanned drawings, and some A.I. generated drawings. Each is noted. None of the text is A.I. generated. I tried to stay as accurate as possible with the statistics and facts, but I also do give my opinion in places both as a professional geologist and as a person. Also, I am not infallible, I do make errors. As far as I can tell, they are all corrected, but if you notice a straggler or two, let me know.
